This position reports to R&D Feminine Care Leader and is based at São José dos Campos.

Role reports to: R&D Feminine Care Leader

Location: São José dos Campos/SP 

 

What you will do 

The R&D Scientist is responsible for performing R&D activities for the implementation of projects related to new product development (NPI), product/material cost reduction and improvements to existing products (LCM) for Engineered Products.

Key Responsibilities

·    Develop new prototypes for engineering products with innovative and strategic approach, taking in consideration consumer insights, cost restrictions, compliance guidelines, sustainability and the impact to manufacture sites.

·    Support, plan and execute trials for LCM/NPI projects in pilot plant and manufacturing sites;

·    Proactively investigates and develops improvements to existing product/processes;

·    Establish partnership with Manufacturing plant, Engineering and external partners from Latam to implement new products and improve manufacturing process.

·    Generate, organize and compile documentation for registration process being aligned with ANVISA guidelines or other possible regulatory agencies.

·    Lead Change control, investigation processes and troubleshooting.

·    Lead the claims discussions and demos creation aligning with key stakeholders.

·    Design and execute scientific experiments and procedures under direct supervision, leveraging established methodology and protocols

·    Assist in developing and updating protocols, test methods, and standard operating procedures

·    Conduct product validation.

·    Lead the discussions with Marketing team to develop and support new product launches.

·    Support 3YOP discussions regionally and work close to Global development team.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

·    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience

·    Experience in Product Development or Analysis of Products is required

·    2-4 years of related experience with Engineered products (absorbents, diapers, bandages, etc)

·    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·    Ability to work independently and in a team environment

·    Experience with laboratory techniques and equipment

·    Intermediate English

 

 

Desired Qualifications

 

·    Familiarity with relevant software and data analysis tools

·    Masters Degree or equivalent in a related scientific field

·    Working knowledge in statistical analysis with familiarity in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, etc.) would be a plus

·    Strong written and oral communication skills required

·    Ability to manage multiple priorities successfully

·    Previous experience in formulated products.

·    Ability to influence others highly preferred

·    Intermediate Spanish
